Jalen Smith 7 REB: All Possessions (2022-01-16)

I was a few bad possessions away from declaring Yurtseven the rightful heir to Horford/Gasol. – 9:42 PM Lauren Rosen @ LaurenMRosen The @Philadelphia 76ers very much back in this one. 68-65 ... Taken together, field goals-at-rim and field foals-mid-range are good stats to measure scoring for players who shoot threes infrequently. PLayers who shoot more shots at the rim are less likely to become players who move outside the 3-point line. This number shows how many times a teams has the ball when a player is on the floor. Possession = offensive opportunities. The more possessions a player has the more opportunites for points (three-pointers, free throws, field goals), assists and offensive rebounds.

2022.01.18 08:21 weedgaylord69 #GE5 [Northland] weedgaylord69 speaks about employment policies at Te Pae o Kura in Kelston

“In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of small businesses have suffered and countless New Zealanders have lost their jobs due to the oppressive regulations of this government. Yet, it seems like this government is, instead of aiding our recovery, determined to press the boot down on the neck of business and workers in this country. Late last year, they raised the minimum wage to $22.75.
Let me be clear - the concept of a minimum wage is a fantasy. It seems to be the belief of the Left that if you want to increase wealth, you do it by simply making businesses pay more to them. While this may be sustainable for larger businesses - and it often isn’t - for small businesses operating on razor-thin margins, it isn’t. Bankrupting employers doesn’t help workers in the slightest.
Something this government doesn’t understand is that, if you want business in this country to prosper, they need to have the freedom to pay their employers what they see fit. If they pay too high, as many are doing right now, they will bankrupt themselves and go out of business, because they cannot pay basic expenses. If they pay too low, while they might have a fine time covering the bottom line in theory, no-one will want to work for them, and they will go out of business.
And I’d like to move on now to the role that the workers play in all of this. I’m sure some people think that getting rid of the minimum wage will simply cause workers to accept whatever they’re offered. Now, even if this was true, I do still think that businesses should have the freedom to pay the wages to workers that they see fit. It is often the situation that businesses get it wrong, and in that case, workers can either leave their jobs or strike for better conditions.
But, unfortunately, in many cases currently, they cannot. Now, while I must commend the government for easing restrictions on striking, overturning prohibitions on public sector strikes and scrapping the overly harsh two-thirds threshold for workers to strike, our employment relations law is still heavily biased against workers, and robs them of the freedom to take collective action.
Under current New Zealand law, you cannot strike outside of an industrial bargaining period. You cannot strike in support of a political cause or in solidarity with other workers facing unfair conditions. You cannot strike without the permission of union leadership. These were all measures that recklessly attacked the freedom of workers. We saw leaders on the Right claim that allowing public sector workers to strike would be overly disruptive, that patients should not have to suffer if doctors and nurses go on strike.
And yes, I do believe that businesses should have the right to employ strikebreakers during a strike. But let me put it this way. If the conditions for doctors and nurses in their hospitals have become so poor owing to the negligence of the employer, then what would be a better outcome? Banning these workers from taking any retaliatory action, in the name of keeping things running, forcing them back into poor conditions or poor wages? Or should we give them the freedom to take the actions they feel are needed so that they can get the conditions and wages they deserve?
Both the Left and the Right are infected with anti-freedom rhetoric, whether it is the government railing against the freedom of businesses to employ workers on their own terms, or the opposition parties attempting to stop workers from taking industrial action as they see fit. It’s all the same authoritarian rhetoric, just painted a different colour.
If you want a voice in Parliament that stands up for true freedom, please give FreeNZ your electorate vote. While you may think that those CEOs and businessmen have it too good, or that we can’t risk those teachers going on strike, when we start to weaponise authoritarianism in pursuit of our own goals, it will always backfire. We must embrace freedom for all, because that is how we create a truly prosperous and great New Zealand.”

2022.01.18 08:21 PumpernickelWasTaken How did Edwards (Regal movie theater) become so bad?

It's like they went from the most awesome movie experience to the worst so quickly. AND they just remodeled. The seats are just SO, SO, SO uncomfortable. The employees are always just so rude. They argued with me tonight about giving me a paper tray. Every time I go there I have the worst experience now. The food is always stale too. And they took all the magic out of the design. Everything is black now.

Over the last couple of years or so I have been inspired most by books about sustainability, fragility, human development, energy, agriculture, and geopolitics. Does anyone have any book or author recommendations that fit with the narritive of the subreddit? Here are a few of mine, please add your suggestions in the comments.
Daniel Yergin - The New Map (energy, geopolitics) Masanobu Fukuoka - The One Straw Revolution (sustainable agriculture, primitivism) Michael Braungart & William McDonough - The Upcycle (sustainable design, sustainable systems) Nassim Nicholas Taleb - Fooled By Randomness (fragility)

2022.01.18 08:21 Similar_Strawberry16 Advanced post-game stats

Apart from the obvious things that get mentioned fairly often, wouldn't it be useful to see kill/death times? In the same way the objective kills are shown on the charts. I feel its useful analytically, but maybe it would just give closure.
For example, if someone finishes 9/9, but 7 of their deaths were in laning phase resulting in turbo fed enemy ripping through the rest of the map... The fact the teammates may have been 2-0 in the same time frame gets lost under a romping when the 7-0 enemy swings past.

2022.01.18 08:21 Captain_Snapmaster What is a better replacement for porn?

I'm in this country where hookups are not possible or extremely rare and not trustworthy. So porn is the only thing to help this horny boi.
But as usual, there are bad effects of porn which I might be experiencing. And the side effects of over musterbating. I used to jerk off two times a day. Now I have reduced it to two times a week. But I need better replacement for porn. Does anyone have any suggestion?
I found gonewildaudio and I think it's better than porn. It let's me use my imagination. What do you people think? Advices would be helpful.
